Angels & Demons

Ron Howard has completed Angels and Demons, the second outing of the Dan Brown franchise featuring Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) and produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment.  MPC completed 170 shots for the film ranging from full CG environments and effects sequences, a wide range of VFX techniques including the creation of a CG ring, set extensions for key Roman sites and the design and conception of the Antimatter and its journey through CERN’s Large Hadron Collider.  The team also produced the title sequence and handled the 2K dailies for the production.

Night at the Museum 2

Shawn Levy has directed the second Night at the Museum movie; ‘Battle of the Smithsonian’ starring Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Amy Adams and Owen Wilson.  MPC worked closely with VFX Supervisor Dan Deleeuw and Twentieth Century Fox to create full CG creaturesfor the feature including a Hippo, Sabre tooth Tiger Skeleton and Pterodactyl.

Watchmen by MPC Vancouver

Zack Snyder has directed 'Watchmen' the DC Comics graphic novel inspired release for Warner Bros Studios.  With VFX Supervised by John 'DJ' Desjardins, MPC completed 250 shots on key sequences in their Vancouver studio.  The work includes the full range of digital VFX including 3D environments and cityscapes, CG Owl Ship, digital doubles and a variety of complex fx work.

MPC recruitment attend SIGGRAPH 2009

MPC is to undergo significant expansion in the coming months. Capacity is set to increase in both the Vancouver and London studios to cover exciting projects. With these developments; MPC’s recruitment team are on the look out for talented individuals to work in each of their locations; and will have a booth at SIGGRAPH New Orleans where they will be interviewing for specific roles.
